Thank you!
We'll have to have another get together soon so we can drink up all the leftover beer, either that or we'll just have to take it tubing down the river. Hope to see all of y'all again soon!

Quarter of a Century
I wish every day was like this! My two beautiful friends here at work surprised me with pretty pink balloons floating in my office and a book of my Monday morning obsession, followed by a yummy lunch at Chuy’s. And I can’t even remember the last time I had cake on my actual birthday, but we’re having it today at work! All because today I have turned twenty-five, a quarter of a century, two and a half decades.

I love doing this...and it seems like its been a trend for this birthday for some reason...
Boss: looking at the pink balloons in my office "Birthday?"
Me: "No, we found out it’s going to be a girl."
Boss: worried look "What? You're pregnant?"
Me: "No, just kidding. Yes its my birthday."
Boss: "So you're not pregnant?
Me: "Nope. It's just my birthday!"
Boss: “Wow, you scared me! I was about to start calling Wife and VP, ‘Ruth Ann’s having a baby!’”
Me: “Haha, no that won’t be a for long time….plus, I think some people would kill me if I had one first.” (ahem…Brandi…Laura…)

I love birthdays!

Impressed
After months of training, this past weekend Brandi biked, swam, and ran in the Austin Danskin Triatholon, which supports The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Last November, my sister-in-law Laura finished the New York City Marathon in under 6 hours! And I believe she also did the Avon 3 Day Walk to support breast cancer research.
This year, at the end of November, Courtney will be running the AIDS Marathon in Florence and is currently raising money to help the fight to end AIDS.
It isn't a marathon or a triatholon, but Patrick and I have always wanted to run/walk the Austin Race for the Cure 5K. He has done it before and both his parents have participated, but I think its about time for me to do this and for Patrick and I to run it together. With both his mother and my aunt being breast cancer survivors, along with so many others, we want to support the Susan G. Komen Foundation and thought this would be a great way. So hopefully, come November 5th, we'll be running down by the Texas Capital.
